Beauty Ladakh

Overview

The Nubra Pangong tour takes travelers through the captivating landscapes of Ladakh, India's northernmost region. Starting from Leh, the capital city, the tour includes a visit to Nubra Valley, known for its picturesque villages and lush green fields. Travelers cross the famous Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads, before reaching Pangong Tso Lake. This high-altitude lake, with its crystal-clear blue waters, offers a stunning backdrop of the Himalayas. Camping by the lake allows for peaceful experiences and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The tour combines natural beauty, adventure, and cultural exploration, providing lasting memories of Ladakh's pristine landscapes and rich heritage.

Itinerary

  • day1:Reach Leh

    Arrive at Leh airport, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your reserved accommodation. Later in evening visit Shanti Stupa built by Japanese monks to promote world peace. This large hilltop stupa has brightly colored reliefs on its mid-levels and is topped by a spired white hemisphere (smoking is prohibited here). Visit the eye-catching Sankar Gompa monastery. Lastly, visit Leh Palace, dilapidated yet interesting, which was built in the 17th century in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture. The rest of the day is at leisure. O/N Leh

  • Day2:Sham Tour

    After breakfast you will head towards Alchi monastery which is the oldest monastery of ladakh.The monuments in this monastery are stated to be one of the unique style and workmanship.There are one of he oldest surviving paintings of ladakh .On the way you will visit Magnetic Hill (a gravity hill) and sangam - Confluence (where two rivers meet each other) where you can do river rafting as well. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference.O/N leh

  • Day3: leh -Nubra

    This morning, drive to Nubra Valley, popularly known as Dorma or 'the valley of flowers' via Khardungla Pass - the world’s one of the highest motorable road (5602 mts). On arrival, check-in to your camp. Later in the afternoon, visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha which is the tallest Buddha statue in Ladakh. Later, visit the white sand dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy the Double Humped Bactrian camel ride (ride on direct payment basis).O/N hundar.

  • Day4:Nubra-Pangong

    After an early breakfast check out and head for Pangong Tso via Shyok. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hrs

  • Day5:Pangong-Leh

    Experience wake up calls by the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk beside the lake or go for a photography splurge.On the way to pangong u will visit thiksey monastery ,rancho school and stakna monastery. O/N Leh

  • Day6:Leh-Shey thiksey-3 idiots -hemos

    We shall straight dive into the most spectacular monastery around Leh city. Thiksey monastery clings to the side of a hill, resembling a mini version of the renowned Potala Palace of Lhasa in Tibet. Today, being the largest Gelugpa monastery, it houses 80 and more residential monks. They observe their daily and annual rituals of prayers, meditations, festivals and ritual dances as has been the tradition for nearly six hundred years. The monastery has a 14m-high Maitreya Buddha.After, you will visit Hemis monastery is perhaps the largest, the richest and the most well-known monastery within Ladakh. he monastery consists of Dukhang (assembly hall) of many kinds, Guardian shrine, a temple room, and an impressive museum. Inside various Dukhang, you can witness remnants of the 17th-century murals, an image of the founder (Lama Stagtsang Raspa), the main statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, Goddess White Tara, and many more.

  • Day7:Airport drop

    Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination with beautiful memories. Journey Ends.

Nubra

Nubra Valley is a high-altitude desert located in the northernmost region of India's Ladakh region, situated at an altitude of around 10,000 feet above sea level. The valley is known for its stunning natural beauty, including towering snow-capped mountains, the confluence of the Shyok and Nubra rivers, and the unique presence of double-humped Bactrian camels.

The valley is also home to several ancient monasteries and gompas, including the well-known Diskit Monastery. Visitors can take part in activities such as camel rides, white-water rafting, kayaking, and trekking. The best time to visit is during the summer months between June and September when the weather is warm and dry, and the roads are open.

Pangong Lake

Pangong Tso, also known as Pangong Lake, is a high-altitude lake situated in the Himalayas, on the border between India and China (Tibet). The lake is approximately 134 km long and extends from India to China. About 60% of the lake's length lies in China, while the remaining 40% is in India.

The lake is situated at an altitude of 4,350 m (14,270 ft) and is surrounded by majestic mountains, giving it a breathtaking view. The color of the lake is a striking deep blue, and it is one of the largest saltwater lakes in Asia.

Pangong Lake is a popular tourist destination, especially for those visiting the Ladakh region of India. It is accessible by road, and visitors need to obtain a permit from the local authorities to visit the lake. The best time to visit Pangong Lake is during the summer months between May and September, as the road to the lake is usually closed during winter due to heavy snowfall.
