Sham Valley-Hanlay
Day 1 : Reach Leh
Arrive at Leh airport, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your reserved accommodation. Later in evening visit Shanti Stupa built by Japanese monks to promote world peace. This large hilltop stupa has brightly colored reliefs on its mid-levels and is topped by a spired white hemisphere (smoking is prohibited here).
Later, visit Leh Palace, dilapidated yet interesting, which was built in the 17th century in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture. Lastly visit Leh Market ,it is a bustling market in the heart of Leh, Ladakh. It is a great place to find souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional Ladakhi clothing. The market is also a great place to people-watch and experience the local culture.
Day 2 :Leh to Uley tokpo
Drive to the Uley tokpo to get an insight into their culture and admire the beauty of season. The first stop is the Alchi monastery, the oldest monastery in Ladakh, with incredible wall paintings depicting both Buddhist and Kashmiri styles. Saspol cave showcases traditional architecture and construction techniques, while Indus Sangam Viewpoint provides an unparalleled view of the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. Magnetic Hill is a mysterious experience that defies the laws of gravity. Here, you’ll be staying in a cozy Hut at Uley Ethnic Resort, run by the same family since 1974. The resort is an oasis of tranquility, nestled amidst the rugged beauty of Ladakh’s mountains and valleys. What makes Uley Ethnic Resort truly special is its commitment to sustainable tourism. Day 3 :Uley tokpo to Tar
As the sun begins to rise on the third day of your journey, it’s time to take a moment for yourself with a little bit of yoga and meditation before embarking on the next leg of your adventure. The journey starts after crossing a wooden bridge over the Indus River at Nurla, with the lower village of Tar visible along the way. A holy spring in the village is believed to have cardiovascular benefits. Trekkers enter a narrow gorge adorned with colourful prayer flags and shiny granite formations, keeping an eye out for natural formations of Achi Choekyi Dolma and the 21 Taras. After crossing a small bridge and walking uphill, trekkers reach the main village of Tar. Visit to the monastery, where the statue of Jigten Sumgon takes center stage, surrounded by other sacred deities such as Guru Padma Sambava. Once you’ve had your fill, gather your provisions for a visit to DROK, a high pasture land located 400 meters above the village. During the summer months, DROK is primarily used for farming practices, and you can bask in the adventure and excitement that awaits you there. After a day full of excitement, make your way back to the farmstay, join the locals in preparing a delectable Ladakhi
Day 4 Tar to Leh
As the sun begins to rise on the fourth day of your journey, it’s time to take a moment for yourself with a little bit of yoga and meditation. Allow the peaceful surroundings of Tar village to rejuvenate your mind and body before embarking on the next leg of your adventure.
After a wholesome breakfast, bid farewell to Tar and make your way back to Leh.
Day 5 Leh to hanlay
Prepare for an unforgettable day in Ladakh as you enjoy a delicious breakfast before embarking on a scenic 5 to 6-hour drive to the remote village of Hanle. En route, make a stop at the famous Chumathang hot springs to soak in the stunning surroundings. Upon reaching Hanle, visit the ancient Hanle Monastery, where serenity envelops you. Explore its ornate prayer halls, find moments of meditation, and engage with the residentmonks. With the majestic Himalayas as a backdrop, themonastery inspires a profound sense of peace.Next, discover the Indian Astronomical Observatory in Hanle, a state-of-the art facility for astronomical research. Experience pristine skies and unparalleled clarity as you delve into the mysteries of the cosmos. Day 6 Hanlay to Pangong
After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable journey towards the enchanting Pangong Lake. Pangong Tso, also known as Pangong Lake, is a natural wonder nestled in Ladakh, India. Situated at an altitude of 4,350 meters (14,270 feet), this captivating lake spans 134 kilometers (83 miles) along the border of India and China.As you approach Pangong Tso, its pristine turquoise waters merge seamlessly with the boundless sky, creating a mesmerizing sight. The lake’s colors shift with the changing light, ranging from deep blues to vibrant greens, offering a captivating spectacle.
Day 7 Pangong to Leh
After Breakfast you will head back to Leh via Changla pass( 17688 ft). On the way visit Thiksey monastery and Shey palace
